On December 4, 2024, Congresswoman Lesko expressed concern over the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) expedited schedule for reclassification before the Trump Administration assumes office. She stated that such actions could negatively impact both Arizona and national security. Lesko mentioned sending a letter to the EPA administrator regarding this issue. "If the Environmental Protection Agency continues its expedited schedule in a rush to make their reclassification effective before the Trump Administration takes office, it will negatively impact Arizona and national security."

On December 5, 2024, she addressed government spending and emphasized making government work for the American people. Lesko highlighted discussions with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy about strategies to improve federal governance.
