Tie your tennis shoes and grab your festive hats for the Jingle Bell Hike, a free event organized by the Glendale Parks and Recreation Department. The hike offers participants a chance to engage in a heart-healthy activity while enjoying the holiday spirit with Santa Claus.

Scheduled for December 14 from 9 to 11 a.m., this two-mile round-trip hike will take place at Thunderbird Conservation Park on 59th Avenue, just north of Deer Valley Road. Participants will hike one mile to Amphitheater Hill, where they can meet Santa Claus for photos and share their holiday wish lists. Afterward, hikers will complete the remaining mile back to the starting point.

The event is part of Glendale Parks and Recreation Department’s Hearts N’ Parks program, which encourages activities that benefit heart health. It also provides an opportunity for participants to start working on New Year’s resolutions related to fitness and well-being while fostering community connections.

Participants are advised to wear close-toed shoes, carry water, and consider using sunscreen and hats. Children must be accompanied by adults during this outdoor activity.

For more information about the event, visit Parks and Recreation - City of Glendale.
