City of Surprise issued the following announcement on April 21

The Reveille Foundation in partnership with the American Patriot Service Corporation will be offering online information and registration workshops on Veterans Administration Aid & Attendance benefits.

Aid & Attendance benefits are provided to both the veteran service member and the spouse independently, and give additional funding to be used for the purpose of providing home healthcare and long-term care needs for illnesses or injuries unrelated to military service. These benefits are not associated with any disability rating that may have been awarded by the military or Veterans Administration; these are benefits earned by service for at least “one day” during a time of war and are for people over the age of 65.

The bi-weekly online workshops will assist eligible veterans and their spouses in filling out the necessary paperwork to file for the benefits. The first session is Wednesday, April 29 from 10 a.m. – noon, and additional workshops will be offered every other week thereafter.

To register or for more information, please contact Pamela Cameron at 602-592-9461 or pamela@reveillefoundation.org.

The Reveille Foundation supports underserved populations with holistic case management that creates individual plans for success and brings the community of resources together to execute these plans.
