El Mirage Fire Department issued the following announcement on Sept. 17.
Sept. 19-25, 2021 is Child Passenger Safety Week. Did you know that approximately 77% of car seats are installed incorrectly, with an estimated 86% of children being positioned incorrectly in them? and every 32 seconds one child under the age of 13 in a passenger vehicle is involved in a crash. Many times, injuries and deaths can be prevented by proper use of car seats, boosters, and seat belts.
