The City of Tucson Department of Transportation & Mobility (DTM) is planning safety upgrades at the intersection of 36th Street and S Campbell Avenue. The current plan is to reconfigure this intersection, which is currently a four-way stop, as a modern roundabout. The proposed roundabout is funded through a voter-approved initiative, Proposition 411, but is being designed concurrently with the 36th Street Pedestrian Safety & Walkability Project, which is funded by Proposition 407.
Join DTM staff at one of two open houses to view a formal presentation given by the design team, review the overall plans, and to give your input on the project:

In May 2022, Tucson voters approved Proposition 411 (Tucson Delivers – Better Streets | Safe Streets), a 10-year half-cent sales tax extension to fund neighborhood street improvements (Better Streets) and systemwide street safety projects (Safe Streets). The total projected sales tax generated over this 10-year program is estimated to be $740 million with 80 percent, or $590 million, to be dedicated to neighborhood streets and 20 percent, or $150 million, to street safety projects.
