The City of Peoria has released information regarding upcoming road work notices scheduled for March 5th and 6th. According to the City of Peoria Streets Division, "On Tuesday and Wednesday, March 5 – 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, the southbound 75th Avenue to eastbound Olive Road Access Road will be CLOSED while crews conduct concrete repairs in this area."

The road work is part of a larger project currently being undertaken by the City of Peoria Streets Division and its contractor. The project involves concrete repairs on Olive Avenue from 67th Avenue to just west of 72nd Avenue. The repairs include upgrades to ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) ramps, valley gutters, and sidewalk repair/replacement as needed. These repairs are being done in advance of a mill and overlay project expected to take place later this year.

The City of Peoria Streets Division also stated that, "The concrete repair portion of this project is expected to be complete in late March, weather permitting." Detour signage will be in place to direct travelers around the closure during the specified dates.
