Congresswoman Debbie Lesko, representing Arizona's 8th district since 2018, has taken to social media to express her views on various political issues. In a series of tweets, she addresses concerns ranging from immigration policies to the actions of fellow legislators and media outlets.
On November 22, 2024, Congresswoman Lesko criticized blue state governors for opposing President Trump's deportation plan. She argued that it should not be partisan to deport individuals who are criminals, rapists, drug smugglers, human traffickers, or potential terrorists. "It should not be partisan to deport… ❌Criminals ❌Rapists ❌ Drug Smugglers ❌ Human Traffickers ❌ Potential Terrorists Yet, blue state governors are continuing to push back on President Trump’s deportation plan. Why don’t they put the safety of the American people first?"
The following day, November 23, 2024, Lesko highlighted a vote by Democrats in Congress regarding tax exemptions for nonprofits linked to terrorist organizations. She questioned how this could be seen as a partisan issue after stating that 184 Democrats voted against removing such tax-exempt status. "Yesterday, 184 Democrats voted “NO” on removing tax exempt status from nonprofits providing materials to terrorist organizations. How is this a partisan issue?"
Later on November 23rd, Lesko expressed her disapproval towards MSNBC in relation to their coverage of an incident involving Laken Riley and Biden/Harris policies. She criticized the network while highlighting the case of Laken Riley as being affected by these policies which allowed a violent criminal into the country. "This is sick. Shame on MSNBC! Laken Riley, an innocent young woman is the one who really never stood a chance against the Biden/Harris policies that allowed this violent criminal into our country."
