WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) released a statement today in response to President Joseph R. Biden’s executive action concerning the crisis at the southern border.

“I’m happy to see President Biden finally coming around to the realization that there is a serious crisis at the border, but I will believe it when I see it. Talk is cheap and we have seen that this president has been continually unwilling to fix the critical problems he created," said Lesko. "In fact, far from taking steps to secure the border, President Biden has empowered the cartels and encouraged lawlessness at every level throughout his term in office. Today’s announcement, clearly motivated by political pressure, means nothing if it isn’t enforced quickly to stop the surge of migrants facing our nation every day.”
