The Glendale Union High School District (GUHSD) has announced the launch of Parent University, a program aimed at empowering families with knowledge and tools to support their teenagers. This initiative will be held across all comprehensive high school campuses in the district, featuring workshops led by professionals.

Parent University addresses key challenges faced by teens today, offering strategies and resources for families to navigate these issues together. The workshop topics include social media and cybersecurity, bullying and conflict resolution, understanding depression and anxiety, stress management, sex trafficking awareness, fentanyl and vaping awareness, suicide prevention and awareness, and digital threats.

Each session will feature expert speakers providing practical insights. Spanish translators will be available to assist with language barriers. Attendees can also enjoy food, connect with other families, and have opportunities to win door prizes.

Parent University offers a platform for families to learn from experts in a supportive environment. It aims to equip parents with valuable tools to strengthen relationships with their teens and help them succeed in high school.

The program is free for all GUHSD families. Dates and times vary by campus; more information can be found on each school's website or by contacting the front office.
