Grand Canyon University (GCU) has announced its lineup of Chapel speakers for the spring 2025 semester, featuring notable figures such as Steve Green, president of Hobby Lobby. The university hosts Chapel services every Monday at 11 a.m. in the Global Credit Union Arena, offering students, faculty, and staff an opportunity to engage with faith-based messages and worship music performed by student musicians.
Steve Green is scheduled to speak on February 10. Known for his leadership at Hobby Lobby, a company founded by his parents David and Barbara Green in 1972, he also chairs the Museum of the Bible in Washington D.C. His involvement extends to various Christian ministries and charities.
Brian Mueller, GCU President, will lead the first Chapel service of the semester this Monday. "We have a great lineup of local church pastors coming in from throughout the Valley," said Jared Ulrich, GCU Worship and pastoral manager.
The schedule includes Dr. Tim Griffin on January 13 and Sean Myers from Pella Communities on February 24. Notable returnees include Chris Brown from North Coast Church who will speak on March 17.
Chapel services will not be held on January 17 due to Martin Luther King Day or February 17 for Presidents Day; there will also be no service during spring break on March 10.
In addition to Chapel services, GCU offers other spiritual activities such as Spiritual Formation Workshops starting at 3:30 p.m. Mondays at Sunset Auditorium and Sanctuary at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays.
