The Glendale Union High School District (GUHSD) recently organized an event titled "Pathway to America’s Top Colleges and Universities" at Moon Valley High School. The event aimed to assist students in their journey toward higher education. Attendees included 9th, 10th, and 11th-grade students along with their families, who gathered to explore resources for college preparation.
Assistant Principals of Student Services from all nine GUHSD schools guided participants through the college admissions process. The event offered insights into several key areas such as understanding college admissions, exploring financial aid and scholarships, honors colleges at Arizona universities, and discovering top colleges nationwide.
A notable feature of the evening was the grade-level breakout sessions that allowed attendees to delve deeper into specific topics. These sessions provided information on scholarship opportunities for Ivy League and prestigious universities, building an online portfolio, and ongoing support from GUHSD teachers and staff.
Families left the event feeling confident about their future educational plans. The initiative reflects GUHSD's commitment to providing students with the necessary tools and guidance for attending top-tier colleges.
