As Glendale begins to reopen, the city is implementing and enforcing recommended health guidelines to ensure residents stay safe, the city's website reported.
Among businesses reopening in the city are parks, recreational facilities, public buildings and libraries.
Parks were reopened in May and the city is beginning to reopen recreational facilities this month, according to the city's website. Also happening in early June will be the reopening of public buildings, including city hall, the police station and court lobbies. City Council, Board and Commission will begin allowing the public to attend meetings in person as well.
The first meeting to all public attendance was the City Council Workshop and Voting meeting on May 26, the city's website said.
On May 4, libraries reopened with drive-thru service only at the Foothills Branch. The Main Branch is offering "grab-and-go" walk-thru service. Other branches in the city will also begin offering a walk-thru service early this month.
All reopening businesses and organizations are required to follow social distancing measures and other safety protocols, the website said. More information on services reopening in the city can be found here.
