Glendale, Arizona, has adopted its budget for the 2020-21 fiscal year, which totals $747 million, according to a press release from the City of Glendale.
The budget will have $444 million in an operating budget and $175 million for the capital improvement budget, according to the press release. There will also be $87 million for debt service, $42 million for contingency appropriation and $668 million for the total revenue budgeted.
There will also be $241 for general government operations, according to the press release. About $230 million for the general fund, $151 for police and fire departments and $15 million for public facilities, parks, recreation and special events department.
"I’m very proud of this budget which continues the momentum we’ve been building up over the past several years,” Glendale City Manager Kevin Phelps said in the press release. “Even during the pandemic, we provided a high level of service to our residents, which was partly due to the continued growth in new business development.”
