Peoria small businesses and nonprofits impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic can now apply for grant funding made available by the City of Peoria and the Arizona Community Foundation.

The funding will come from the Peoria Small Business/Nonprofit Relief Grant Program, which is designed to help businesses who make under $3 million and have less than 25 full-time employees as well as nonprofits and sole proprietorships, according to a city press release. The grant program is the first of three programs rolled out by the city to aid small businesses and nonprofits who suffered losses due to the pandemic.

“Small businesses have been particularly challenged over the last several months,” Peoria Mayor Cathy Carlat said in a statement. “Sectors have been asked to pause their operations, while others have experienced serious disruptions to their operations. This program is about getting direct financial assistance to those that need it most."

Applications for the grant funding are being accepted now through Sept. 18 and those seeking assistance can click here to apply and for more information.
