Pima County Public Library issued the following announcement on July 13.
Coder! Back in May we learned that our nemesis, that destroyer of joy and pooper of all parties, the evil Dr. Lou Gnarr, has DELETED the Prendapolis City Zoo’s website!
Join the Prenda Summer Coding Contest, a free coding competition, to help us get the Zoo up and running again!
If you have already joined the fun, AWESOME! Keep working on your project! We can't wait to see it!
If you haven't signed up yet, never fear! There is still plenty of time!
During the contest you will be able to work on one (or both) of two brand new Missions inside Prenda. In one, “Bringing the Zoo Into the Wild” you will create an Animated Animal Adventure using code. In the other, “Teach Me About an Animal” you will create an Informative Animal Webpage. Your projects will be featured content on the Prendapolis City Zoo website once it is put back together.
Submit your project before July 31st for a chance to win some fantastic tech prizes!
Check out the contest website to learn more!
