City of Peoria issued the following announcement on Sept. 8.
The City of Peoria uses every opportunity to establish community participation programs to allow for citizen involvement and input. Boards and commissions are created to enable Peoria residents to take an active role in city government.
Volunteers appointed to serve on a board or commission help the city council examine issues and, in turn, work with elected officials and staff to help shape the future of Peoria. For more information or to apply to serve on the city’s boards and commissions, visit www.peoriaaz.gov/boards or call the Peoria City Clerk’s Office at 623-773-7340.
