City seeks entries for annual Gingerbread House Contest!

Announcement

City of Surprise issued the following announcement on Nov. 18.

The City of Surprise Parks & Recreation Department is seeking entries for the 2021 Surprise Party Gingerbread House Contest! Gather your family and friends and create a one of a kind masterpiece.

Entry is free and all materials must be edible. Creations must be 24” x 24” or less and will be judged on originality, use of materials, overall appearance and degree of difficulty. Categories include Adult, Teen (13-17), Youth (12 & Under) and Groups (to include families, boy or girl scout troops, after school programs, organizations, churches, etc.)  Prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place finishers in each category.

Please fill out the entry form by Thursday, December 2. Gingerbread houses must be dropped off at the Surprise Party Gingerbread Tent between 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 4. Judging will take place the same day and winners must be present to accept the award at 3 p.m.
