City of Peoria issued the following announcement on Dec. 8.
In observance of Christmas, city offices, facilities, the Peoria Community Center and both public libraries will be closed on Friday, Dec. 24, Saturday, Dec. 25, Friday, Dec. 31, and Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022. The community center will also be closing early at 6 p.m. on Dec. 20-23 and Dec. 27-30. Rio Vista Recreation Center will be open from 5 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 24 and Dec. 31 and closed Saturday, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1, 2022. All city parks, including the new Paloma Community Park, will be open for the holidays until 5 p.m. For more information about closures, visit www.peoriaaz.gov.
