Itty Bitty Open tees off Jan 15

Open

City of Surprise issued the following announcement on Jan. 6.

Fore! Come join us on January 15 for the Itty Bitty Open. This is a great way to introduce children to the game of golf. This FREE event has three clinic times starting at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Juniors and their parents will learn the basic skills of golf taught by qualified PGA and LPGA professionals.

After the clinic, kids will participate in fun-filled, non-competitive golf games. Each golfer will receive a set of plastic golf clubs, balls, a bag and a visor – participants are asked to leave their own clubs at home. An adult “caddie” must accompany each golfer.

A special contest with prizes will be held at each session for the “Best Dressed Golfer and Caddie Team.” Anything goes - classic golf fashion, contemporary golf fashion or any unique golf duds that may come to mind. Winners will receive a congratulatory letter and trophy.

Space is limited, sign up now! All participants must register through the Junior Golf Association of Arizona at jgaa.org/news/2022-itty-bitty-open-saturday-january-15-2022/.

Please note that class and lesson dates are tentative and subject to change or cancellation.
