City of Peoria issued the following announcement on Feb. 23.
On Thursday, March 3, 2022 the West Valley Art Museum (WVAM) will have a free reception for the current Art of Wonderland exhibit. From 4 to 6 p.m. there will be iced tea and tasty treats reminiscent of Alice’s Tea Party. At 5 p.m., Chris Hamby, TheaterWorks artistic director of the sold-out, immersive Curiouser & Curiouser production, will discuss the creation of the 2020 and 2021 interactive theatrical shows that garnered national publicity. Also, there will be related visual art by notable artists for all ages.
The WVAM Art Gallery is located on the first floor of Peoria City Hall at 8401 W. Monroe St. Regular hours of the WVAM Art Gallery are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from noon to 6 p.m. For questions or additional information, contact WVAM at 623-972-0635 or www.wvam.org.
