City of Surprise hosts 8th Annual Veterans Day Parade

Join us in honoring our service men and women at the 8th annual City of Surprise Veterans Day Parade on Friday, November 11.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. and will be routed along Bullard Avenue between Paradise and Tierra Buena lanes. It will feature community floats, bands, dancers and more! This annual event has become a tradition in Surprise, honoring the men and women in uniform who have selflessly served our country.

If you’re arriving early to get a spot, there’s an option to purchase breakfast and coffee from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. at Surprise Stadium in the centerfield plaza.

Parking will be available at the Surprise Community Park and Surprise Aquatic Center lots, located at 15953 N. Bullard Ave.

In preparation, on the morning of the parade, the following roads will be closed at 9:30 a.m. and will reopen shortly after the conclusion of the festivities:

  • Paradise Lane between Bullard Avenue and Buck O’Neil Way
  • Bullard Avenue between Paradise Lane and Tierra Buena Lane
The City is still seeking clubs, organizations, groups or residents who would like to participate in the parade. For the entry form or more information, please visit surpriseaz.gov/surpriserec and click on ‘Special Events’ or call the Parks and Recreation Office at 623.222.2000. Entries are due by Friday, October 28. There is no fee to participate.

The City of Surprise Veterans Day Parade is presented by the City’s Parks and Recreation Department and sponsored, in part, by Banner Health Del E. Webb Medical Center, National Indoor RV Centers, Sanderson Ford and Sanderson Lincoln.
