“The report demonstrates our focus on long-term economic growth and funding the vital infrastructure necessary to carry El Mirage into the future. I am incredibly proud of the care and commitment that our hardworking employees deliver to our community and thankful for the leadership of our Mayor and City Councilmembers,” Dyches said.

The 20-page report opens with a statement of the City’s mission, vision and values and a photo of current Mayor Alexis Hermosillo, Vice Mayor David Shapera and City Councilmembers Roy Delgado, Monica Dorcey, Bob Jones, Anita Norton and Donna Winston.

A major theme of the report is the opening of the new El Mirage Public Library in July of 2022.

Other large-scale projects included the opening of the Northern Parkway at Dysart and El Mirage Roads, the improvement of the City’s bond rating to Aa2, increased economic development efforts and the management of $11.9 million in American Rescue Plan Funding.
