On March 11, 2024, Peoria Libraries announced an upcoming Introduction to Robotics workshop aimed at children interested in the field. The workshop, led by Gabriela Gabaldon from Ecorobotik, will provide students with insights into robotics and its practical applications.
According to the announcement, learners attending the workshop will have the opportunity to build a basic electronic circuit and get acquainted with the usage of Tinkercad. The workshop is tailored for kids in grades 4 to 8 and will be held at two different sessions to accommodate interested participants.
Gabriela Gabaldon, an expert from Ecorobotik, will be guiding the students through the workshop, offering valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in the field of robotics. The two sessions are scheduled as follows: Monday, March 18, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at the Peoria Main Library, located at 8463 W. Monroe Street, and Wednesday, March 20, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at the Sunrise Mountain Library, situated at 21109 N. 98th Avenue.
To participate in the workshop, registration along with a parental consent form is mandatory.
