The City of Peoria is hosting a blood drive on Thursday, March 7 at the Development and Community Services Building, Point of View Conference Room, 9875 N. 85th Avenue. The event aims to encourage individuals to donate blood and help save lives in the community.
"Advance appointments are encouraged. Walk ins are also welcome," emphasized the organizers, highlighting the flexibility for those willing to participate in the noble cause.
In addition to the satisfaction of contributing to a life-saving endeavor, donors are also being offered tokens of appreciation. "As a thank you, all donors will receive FREE solar eclipse glasses PLUS an exclusive t-shirt," stated the organizers, showing gratitude for the generosity of the participants.
Furthermore, there is an extra incentive for donors to participate in the blood drive. "As an added thank-you, donors are automatically entered for a chance to win one of four $5,000 gift cards," announced the organizers, providing an opportunity for donors to potentially benefit beyond the act of giving blood.
Individuals interested in contributing can schedule an appointment by visiting donors.vitalant.org or calling 1.877.25.VITAL (258.4825) and using the blood drive code: Peoria. The event not only serves as a platform for individuals to give back to the community but also as a reminder of the significant impact that a simple act like donating blood can have on saving lives.
