Peoria, Mar 5 2024 - A significant and poignant tribute is on its way to Pleasant Harbor in Peoria. The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, will be on display at Lake Pleasant from April 11 to 14.
Visitors will have the opportunity to pay their respects as the exhibit, which also includes a mobile Education Center, will be open to the public free of charge 24 hours a day. The wall itself bears the names of the 58,281 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War. Standing at 375 feet long and reaching a height of 7.5 feet at its tallest point, the replica serves as a powerful reminder of the lives lost in the conflict.
For those interested in arranging tours or volunteering during the exhibit, Pleasant Harbor has provided a point of contact. Organizations can reach out to the Pleasant Harbor event line at 623.203.5173 or via email at phevents@pleasantharbor.com.
