The City Council of Peoria has highlighted its three main priorities - Economic Development, Public Safety, and Water Security - on the newly updated city website. These priorities aim to create a sustainable and thriving community.

In the Economic Development section, users can find information about Amkor's new semiconductor packaging and test facility, studies for a potential Peoria Airpark, the upcoming American Leadership Academy public charter school in Vistancia, updates on downtown Peoria's growth, and other medical and commercial developments across the city. The council believes these growth opportunities will generate tax revenue that can be used to enhance police, fire, parks, and library programs in Peoria.

The Public Safety page provides resources and updates from the city's police and fire departments. This includes news about the new Aviation Unit, expansion of the School Resource Officer and School Liaison Officer program, updates on the construction of the Real Time Crime Center, and details about the new Joint Public Safety Facility near Vistancia.

Water security is also prominently featured as a key aspect of city sustainability. Residents can access information about water conservation efforts, expansion plans for Peoria’s water reclamation facilities, and projects aimed at ensuring the city’s water supply and quality for future generations.

To track high-profile projects supporting these priorities, residents are encouraged to visit www.peoriaaz.gov/councilpriorities. The website will be regularly updated with new information as it becomes available.
